Varicose Vein Therapy

Patient undergoing a varicose vein procedure.
Varicose veins usually occur in the legs. Normally, valves in your veins keep blood flowing, but the valves in varicose veins are either damaged or missing. This causes the veins to remain filled with blood, especially when you are standing. Varicose vein therapy fixes this problem right at the source by delivering laser energy to the affected tissue. The laser causes the vein to close and the body automatically routes the blood to other healthy veins.

Varicose vein laser therapy is minimally invasive. The physician will make a tiny incision that does not require stitches through which they can guide a laser fiber to the target area. Patients return to regular activity right away. In fact, our varicose vein therapy patients walk out of our office when the procedure is complete.

Other offered varicose vein therapies include phlebectomy and sclerotherapy.
