Pink in the Park is a breast cancer awareness event sponsored by The Breast Center of Greensboro Imaging that’s free and open to everyone, not just women! On Friday, October 19, stop by Center City Park in Downtown Greensboro from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. to get some great information about breast cancer awareness and visit some of the exhibitors in the park.

There will be live music by the Dave Fox Group, flu shots, free chair massages, free paraffin dips and many other activities.

You can even participate in Call & Tell 2, an initiative to help spread the message of breast cancer awareness beyond the physical boundaries of the park. Everyone who participates in Call & Tell 2 will be entered into a drawing for a fabulous prize from a local spa!

Other door prizes will also be available, so come and spend some time at Pink in the Park. Or better yet, invite your friends, bring your lunch and enjoy the festivities!

  September 21, 2006  Friday, October 6, 2006 is National Denim Day   Greensboro Imaging staff at Wendover Medical Center, 315 W. Wendover and The Breast Center of Greensboro Imaging will slip into their favorite jeans on Friday, October 6, 2006.  Members of our staff will be donating a minimum of $5.00 to support  breast cancer research.  This is the largest single day event to raise money to support the fight against breast cancer.  Greensboro Imaging is proud to participate in this national event to support innovative breast cancer research.  For additional information, log on to www.denimday.com

September 15, 2006 GREENSBORO IMAGING AT WENDOVER MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCES NEW ULTRASOUND UNIT --  Greensboro Imaging at Wendover Medical Center is happy to announce that they have purchased and installed an additional ultrasound unit to accomodate the growing need for ultrasound studies in the Triad region.  The new ultrasound unit is a Siemens Antares, one of the most technologically advanced systems currently on the market today.  Greensboro Imaging at Wendover Medical Center will now have two ultrasound units to perform all general ultrasound procedures.  This will enhance Greensboro Imaging's ability to provide quick appointments for patients with the highest quality interpretations performed by the Board Certified radiologists of Greensboro Radiology Associates.

August 29, 2006  THE BREAST CENTER OF GREENSBORO IMAGING SPONSORS WALK AND RUN EVENT AND TEAM The Breast Center of Greensboro Imaging has formed a team of approx. 30 women to participate in the Women's Only 5K Walk and Run of Saturday, October 7, 2006.  The Center sponsors this annual event which supports the Women's Hospital of Greensboro's Mammography Scholarship Fund.  The fund provides mammograms to local women who otherwise could not afford them.

Continuing with tradition, little girls will carry the team's banner in the walk, as they did in last year's Relay for Life.  The team will wear white ball caps with the embroidered pink breast cancer awarness ribbon.

The Walk and Run will start at the Women's Education Center at the Women's Hospital of Greensboro, 801 Green Valley Road.  Women of all ages, including girls 7 years and older, may walk or run the 3.1 mile course.  All entry fees directly benefit the Mammography Scholarship Fund.

The day's events include a children's and family expo complete with games and activities for the entire family and a women's expo with more than 20 exhibitors providing infomation on everything from spa treatments to wellness and fitness to beauty products and sportswear.  For more infiormation, call 336-832-8131

 May 19 - May 20, 2006  The Breast Center of Greensboro Imaging is a proud sponsor of the American Cancer Society 2006 "Relay For Life" and formed a team to participate in the event held Friday, May 19,2006 at through Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Western Guilford High School track field, 409 Friendway Rd, in Greensboro.

The Breast Center of Greensboro Imaging's "Pink Ribbon Posse ... was highlighted on Greensboro's WFMY channel 2 during the "Morning Show" to talk about how they will "Hit The Trail" Friday evening sporting white cowboy hats and pink bandanas to support the American Cancer Society and "Give Cancer The Boot!" Our team consisted of employees and their family members along with honored special guests who are cancer survivors..

Greensboro Imaging    (the new name) is a joint venture between Greensboro Radiology and Moses Cone Health System. June 13, 2005   Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging (DRI) has installed an advanced open magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system – the only one of its kind in the Carolinas. The new unit supplies radiologists and physicians with extremely clear, high-quality images of tissues, veins, organs and bones, while providing patients with more comfort and shorter exam times. DRI, located at 315 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, expects to perform its first scan with the new unit today.
