Greensboro Imaging’s success grew from a strong commitment to excellent patient care and serving the community’s health care needs with state-of-the-art technology. In 1998, a joint venture of Cone Health and Greensboro Radiology resulting in premium outpatient diagnostic imaging convenient for patients and coordinated with area physicians. In 2005, outpatient imaging centers were assembled under one name: Greensboro Imaging. Today, the Greensboro Imaging family encompasses three complete imaging centers in the Piedmont Triad, including one with specialized interventional radiology procedure capabilities as well as The Breast Center of Greensboro Imaging—a full-service breast health center.
All imaging centers are located conveniently to serve all of Guilford County and surrounding communities, allowing you to make your health a priority. Each location was designed to offer plenty of parking as well as a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. Greensboro Imaging technologists are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. All technologists participate in continuing education activities to maintain active status by their respective governing board.
Continuity of service between outpatient care at Greensboro Imaging and inpatient care at Cone Health is unrivaled. Greensboro Imaging physicians also serve Cone Health, therefore, when a diagnosis requires hospitalization, the doctor who works with you at any Greensboro Imaging location will work closely with the doctors at the appropriate Cone Health hospital facility. Greensboro Imaging physicians have the capacity to provide your referring physician the images, the report and an on-call radiologist at any time, day or night.
In North Carolina, a patient may make an appointment for a screening mammogram without a doctor’s referral, but all other imaging tests require a doctor’s referral.
